The girls and I spent two weeks in Colorado this summer and enjoyed a sweet time with my family and seeing a few old friends. As the girls get older, we are able to be more active and really take advantage of what people love most about Colorado- the outdoors! We spent a few days in Summit County (my original Colorado home). We hiked a trail at the top of Boreas Pass called Black Powder Pass, we swam at the base of Peak 7 in Breck, hiked in Silverthorne, filled up on Nick-N-Willies pizza and relished sunsets at the base of Buffalo Mountain. Micah took to hiking more than the others and kept asking to go higher and further. Margo was more interested in catching caterpillars and collecting pine cones. And Lucy, she got to take it all in while riding on my dad’s back. He was such a trooper carting her hither and yon! Our next visit will likely fall around Christmas time when the snow will cover the mountains and ornaments cover the trees. Maybe this will be the year that I teach them to ski! Until next time Colorado!
